THANK YOU!
The entire congregation sends a large Thank You to the Kohelet ad hoc house repair committee. Together they are doing a yeoman task on all fronts to get our sanctuary mended from the auto invasion. There are legal questions, insurance questions, contractor questions, coordination, repair decisions, payments, timing, decor, inspections, even asbestos. Our everready and able Kohelet team includes Chuck, Misty, Neiel, Dan, Ed, Steve C., David F., and Joel. We all cannot thank them enough! TODAH RABAH. |

KOHELET COMMUNITY SEDER
Fri., April 19 at 6:00 p.m.
We will gather at Kohelet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
We all contribute one or two vegetarian dishes to serve 10-12 and a bottle of wine or juice, plus a suggested donation of $10 per adult.
Kohelet's seder was begun in memory of our dear friend and Kohelet member Deborah Buckley, whose loving nature and lively spirit was the perfect compliment to this complex and joyful holiday. Deborah passed away in 2004, and Kohelet has hosted a seder 14 of the last 15 years. We aim for a "family-friendly" seder, with fun, song, and maybe a few creepy-crawlies or wild beasts.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you'd like to join us. Respond to the seder committee at: beiserbj@gmail.com by Monday, April 8.

SECURITY UPDATE
Ed Davidson has installed 4 security cameras outside out building to provide video surveillance and motion detection around the entire building. This should greatly enhance our building security.

BUILDING REPAIR UPDATE
The subject who crashed into our building has been identified and there is a warrant for his arrest for Hit and Run. Officer Harrington will get back to Dan after he interviews the subject. We have selected a contractor to repair the damage to our building. At this point we are in negotiations with the insurance company. We hope to have repairs underway as soon as possible, likely sometime this month. We will keep you updated and give you a more accurate timeline when we know more.

Parsha Tazaria
We have just read about Nadav and Abihu
, two sons of Aaron who brought unholy fire and incense to the newly constructed Tabernacle on the day of consecration. This act is generally regarded as one of inappropriate and uninvited arrogance and assertiveness. Their immediate death is said to be the result of this behavior. Yet others opine that this youthful effort to help bring the Shechinah to the enclosure was necessary and helpful in assisting Moshe and Aaron to invoke the appearance of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps we can say that the contributions of youth should not be immediately discounted but the newness and freshness of their ideas of textural understanding and interpretation can have merit. In this case their actions were dangerous and took them too close to the sun but if care and being well informed had been added before offering change, it might be considered an appropriate learning.
